“There are infinite
ways to tell a story.”
There are infinite ways to tell a story; for me, it’s all about the “how”.
How do I imagine this story, how will it unfold, how will it feel, how will it look, how will it sound?
One can say, I live in a house. But what house? Is it a cabin in the woods, an apartment in a high rise in the midst of a congested city, a house that floats on water? Is it one shared by many or a sanctuary just for one?
What does the house smell like when you walk in the door? Are there objects on all the surfaces? Are the walls bare or covered with art? Is it filled with natural light, or are the windows small and the ceilings low? Is there a leaky faucet that drips water all day and night? Do we hear the neighbors’ music next door?
I apply a multi-dimensional lens to all my work that unites my intuitive experience of the world with a honed intellectual, critical and historical perspective, whatever the medium, in service of imaginative storytelling.
